What is the idea?
The idea is pretty simple: to try and make 1 Million pesos by selling 1,000,000 pixels for Php 1.00 each ($0.02 each). Hence, "The Million Peso Site". The main motivation for doing this is to help me pay my expenses in promoting "internet marketing" in the Philippines. I'm conducting free seminars and training to promote internet marketing in my country. There is a big potential of large residual income in internet marketing which will help the economy of the Philippines. Will you help me spread the good news?
So, please feel free to buy my pixels which are available in 100-pixel 'blocks' (each measuring 10x10 pixels). The homepage is divided into 10,000 of these 100-pixel blocks (10,000 x 100 = 1M pixels). The reason for selling them in 100-pixel blocks is because anything smaller would be too small to display anything meaningful.
You can buy as many pixels as you like as long as there are some available. You can check the live stats in the top right corner of this page. Once you have bought some pixels, you can then display an image/ad/logo of your choice in the space you have purchased. You could also use image/ad/logo as a direct link to your own website. Take note that you can potentially have 1 million visitors to your site in the coming years and a link to your site will help you with search engine rankings.
The pixels you buy will be displayed on the homepage permanently. The homepage will not change. Using some of the money I make from the site, I guarantee to keep it online for at least 6 years but hopefully until my lifetime(I'm still in my mid-20s). This is the first million peso site in the Philippines and I believe it will be historic so I aim on keeping it online and active my whole lifetime. Long term, the pixels will offer great value(which is already proven). You will have a piece in the Philippine internet history!
Is that a copy-cat idea?
Sort of. The original idea came from Alex Tew from Wiltshire, England who found a way to support his college education. He invented the Million Dollar Homepage(which is now sold out!) and eventually everyone copied - at least there are 10,000 copy-cats (and growing!). Thanks to Alex! Many people found a way on how to raise up funds for a cause they believe in which won't break a leg to anyone who buys.
As I mentioned, my motivation is promoting internet marketing in the Philippines which will result to large residual income of DOLLARS coming in the country which eventually will help our economy. And the good thing is you earn dollars without leaving your country - your home.
I give credit to Alex for this project. Alex may have been the creator of the first Million Dollar homepage but this is the FIRST MILLION PESO SITE IN THE PHILIPPINES.
Who are you?
My name is Stanley Dumanig and I currently live in the biggest city in the Philippines - Davao. I'm a computer technician, programmer, system analyst and administrator, web designer, webmaster, educator/trainor, animator, director, manager, entrepreneur, blogger, internet marketer, husband of a happy wife and a pastor (YES! I preach that Jesus saves - Isa Almasih saves) - I'm one of those in a given time but of course I'm ALWAYS a husband of ONE happy wife!

I don't need a million dollars to finance my drive on promoting internet marketing in the Philippines but a million pesos will be sufficient. I'm known as the "Internet Marketing Evangelist of the Philippines". I'm authentically Filipino, completely genuine. Although this site might be funny in various ways, it is not a joke! I really am selling pixels for Php 1.00 each because I need support in promoting internet marketing in the Philippines, and for its continuing research and development.
I'll be giving up some time of my work to do this, meaning, I'll be losing dollars out from my work. The money from this project will help me sustain that loss and will help me in research and development to make my campaign more content-packed and to make it spread faster.
Why do you need Php 1,000,000 for this campaign?
1 million pesos or roughly $20,000 USD is actually not enough but it will help sustain the loss from not able to do my regular work due to documenting and promoting internet marketing in the Philippines.
In fact, I already have reached $20,000 USD mark if I'll sum up all the products in 3 years that I got from all the well-known internet marketers worldwide and the time I spent in research and development.
What will you do with the money?
First and foremost, I will pay for my expenses at home since I'll be losing money in not doing my regular work. That includes light and water bills, house rental, broadband connection, office supplies, expenses when traveling to teach/campaign and maybe some new clothes so I'll not be wearing the same clothes every time I do a presentation(BIG smile).
Secondly, I'll be reviewing products or services that will help Filipinos in their online businesses. This involves attending seminars/workshops, purchasing softwares or online services and hardware stuff. Of course, you'll find all these reviews and resources in my blog and every time I teach.
Finally, I'll support other projects or causes I believe in. This involves computer literacy programs on urban poor, organizations promoting outsourcing in the Philippines and other organizations that will help the Philippine online businesses.
Who can benefit from your research and campaign?
Virtually EVERYONE! It is my aim that all fields will be covered. I know many web designers, programmers, advertisers, layout artists, transcriptionists and moms who enjoy creating "burloloy"(trinkets) who already understood and enjoyed the benefits of internet marketing. I'll be campaigning so other fields will also enjoy it. All fields CAN benefit from internet marketing.
Why should I buy your pixels?

Why can't I buy one single pixel?
One pixel is a lot smaller than a dot so it can't display anything meaningful. Also, its not easy to click on a one-pixel link! So, its pointless to sell or own a single pixel.
Unlike other million 'x' sites, my 10x10 block cost you only $2 since $1 is roughly equivalent to Php 50.00 so 100 pixels(10x10) cost 100 pesos or $2! It's BIG savings for advertisers especially if you're from the US.
However, if you really want to own a single pixel, there is always the option of grouping together(berks!) with your friends/family/colleagues and buy 1 10x10 block.
How long will the site be online?
The site will be online for about 6 years guaranteed (at least until December 12, 2012 / 12-12-12), however, the aim is to keep the site online my whole lifetime (or forever).
The idea is to keep the homepage permanent and it will have a historic mark in the Philippine internet history. Everything on the internet keeps changing so fast, it will be nice to have something that stays solid and permanent for many years and you can be a part of that!
How do I buy pixels? $2 per block?
Per block consists of 100 pixels (10x10) which will cost you Php 100.00. $1 = Php 50.00 so it will cost you $2 per block. The reason why I'm selling this in dollars is it is the standard currency in doing online business.
Click on the "Buy Pixels" link on the top of the page and create a new account. After you successfully created an account you will then be taken to the Pixel Management page where you can choose what pixel you're going to buy. After placing the order, payment will be required using Paypal account or any major credit card. You're already earning dollars, why do you need support?
I'm earning dollars because I'm working with clients in US and Europe. Since I'll be dedicating time to promote and research internet marketing in the Philippines I'll have a lesser time working with my clients eventually reducing my income. Your support may sustain me during this time.
